How To Repair Lotos Mig 175 Circuit Board

Hello Guys,

Well this is my first post here in this forum, I have resently bought a Lotos 175 MIG from Ebay at very good toll (one defective unit) with the hope to use its parts ro repair anotherrig I have a home but it turn out that in my opinion is worth to repair, Lotos electronic lath is not that complicated as I expected. Since I'k in Costa rica, its been difficult to become Lotos back up on the phone and ask them if they take take an schematic for the board and the connections of the welder(I remember they are dropping on my calls). Well, here is where one of y'all tin give a big aid, if someone has a Lotos 175 MIG welder open in which you ae able to see the connections to make some photos, I will apppreciate too much(unfortunadly I cannot transport beers past mail service from my country). as far equally i have tested, I take found that the SCR'southward are burnded and two diodes from the gate as well.

Hi,

I desided to change the approach almost wich role of the welder should I start checking. I did a full general check to the board and most of the big devices seem to be fine. just I'm not covinced of that. today I have take connected 220 volts to the transformer to see what is the open circuit voltage

Testing the voltage is giving xxx.iv volts to the output of the circuit:

this points me to focus on the board since the power circuit provides a skillful steady voltage.

Glad to run across someone doing a tech stuff on this forum. I have a Eastwood TIG 200 and would like to hook up a spool gun for aluminum to the machine. I am thinking almost using a variable DC ability supply to power the motor in a spool gun. Expert luck with the tech work!

I'm kind of busy at work, but I hope to take some time this week to make more testing on my welder, I accept to do more testing to the board.

those are easy to put together and with a little extra circuitry you tin make your spoolgun usable with TIG welder, really that is a great thought!!!!

Hi All,

Now I finally accept some time to work on the welder, It took me a couple of weeks to become the TRIACs since are the only ones that seem to be diddled.
Subsequently replaced the TRIACs and reassemble the welder, the welder is dorsum to life!!!
